DRAM In the world of whisky, “Dram” originating from the Greek word “drachma”, is a term coined by the Scots for a glass of whisky. A “wee dram” literally means a small volume, but in practice the word is often used ironically. A liquid dram generally measures 35ml in the UK, we are more liberal with our wee dram at 40ml!
